Red mites are one of the biggest and worst commercial whiteness problems in the world:

The poultry red mite, Dermanyssus gallinae, is one of the most important pests of laying hens in many parts of the world.

83% of poultry layer farms in Europe are infected with Red Mites to varying degrees.

  Annual losses in Europe may vary from 0.6 to 2.5 Euros per chicken due to Red Mites as a direct effect and up to 40 Euros as a general effect.

The life cycle of Red Mites is very fast with only 7-10 days.

A laying hen can lose more than 3% of blood volume every night due to an infestation of Red Mites.

Why are Red Mites so dangerous?

A general impact on the life of the chick leads to economic loss:

Aggressive pecking of feathers, predation, increased feed consumption, anaemia, egg deformation, decreased egg production, weight loss, secondary bacterial infection, immunosuppressant, mortality.

Transmission of diseases or (virus vectors)

Bacteria such as:

1. coli, salmonella, Pasteurella and others.

Viruses in birds:

Newcastle disease, avian influenza A, small pox and other viruses

Red Mites and their role in the transmission of zoonotic diseases to humans:

Salmonella is the causative agent of Salmonella Paratyphoid, Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease. And also Babesia and Bartonella

General rule for daily dose:

PHYTODERM is added at a rate of 1 ml per litre of water over a period of 8 hours per day, specifically the eight hours prior to darkening

In very severe cases:

PHYTODERM is added at a rate of 1 ml per litre of water over a period of 8 hours per day, specifically the eight hours prior to darkening

For two weeks (14 consecutive days), then it was repeated twice a week for another two weeks, then it was repeated once a week continuously.

In cases of moderate and minor injuries:

PHYTODERM is added at a rate of 1 ml per litre of water over a period of 8 hours per day, specifically the eight hours prior to darkening

For a week (7 consecutive days), then the dose is repeated once a week and continues weekly.
